Research Assistant (Temporary)
This project, led by Diogo Cotta, explores how companies repurpose their operations during crises. You will play a key role in mapping this emerging business phenomenon and generating insights with real societal impact.
You’ll join a collaborative research team at Maastricht University, working closely with academics and partners across Europe. Together, we combine creativity and rigor to deliver high-quality research.
What you do
In this role, you’ll support the research process from start to finish:
- Conduct systematic desk research to identify and analyze relevant cases.
- Build and maintain a structured database using information-rich sources.
- Participate in fieldwork activities in the Maastricht or Benelux region.

English is a must, preferably combined with Dutch, French or German. Based on the languages you speak, geographical scope of the work will be assigned to you.
What we offer
At Maastricht University, you’ll work in an international, open, and engaged environment. We offer:
• A 6 month contract with the scope of 1.0 FTE.
• A gross monthly salary between €3.029,- and €3.623,- (based on full-time employment of 38 hours per week). 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus.
• 29 vacation days (based on full-time), four additional days off (Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day), and the possibility to accrue up to 12 extra days through compensation hours.
• Flexible working hours, a home office allowance, and the option to work from home.
