Your colleagues: The postdoctoral researcher will become a member of the section Forensic Psychology and the section Clinical Psychology. The postdoctoral researcher will also be part of a larger consortium between Maastricht University and the University of Amsterdam.

 

Our goal: The goal of this consortium is to examine how emotional memories can be changed due to Imagery Rescripting and what the impact is of such changes from a clinical, legal psychological, and ethical perspective.

What you do

The main task is to conduct experimental studies into the effects of Imagery Rescripting on true and false memories. You will be;

 

  • proposing new studies on the (memory) effects of Imagery Rescripting;
  • conducting (experimental) studies on the memory effects of Imagery Rescripting;
  • presenting the findings to (inter)national conferences.

 

What you bring

  • Experience in experimental research: Experience in conducting experimental studies in the area of clinical, cognitive, or legal psychology is of importance.
  • Background in clinical or legal psychology: A background in clinical or legal psychology (or a related area) is of high value for this position.
  • Language knowledge: A good command of English and Dutch.

 

What we offer

  • 36 month contract (0.8 fte)
  • A gross monthly salary between €XX and €XX (based on full-time employment of 38 hours per week). 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus. 
  • 29 vacation days (based on full-time), four additional days off (Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day), and the possibility to accrue up to 12 extra days through compensation hours.
